Over the past few months, ResQ IT & Telecoms have working on a number of community -led Broadband projects using the latest wireless technology.
Cilycwm Broadband Network
This scheme is managed by the Cilycwm Community Association - Cilycwm is a known Broadband Blackspot area in Carmarthenshire and has suffered for many years from a lack of connectivity. With funding from the RDP Access to Service Scheme, the Community Association asked for our help to create a high-speed network for the village and outlying properties.
We used the latest dual band wireless equipment which offers quicker and more reliable delivery of service and an enhanced failsafes and security over and above conventional wireless.
Carmarthenshire Community Broadband Partnership
The largest wireless broadband network in Wales. Working in partnership with APC Solutions UK we are pioneering the deployment of multiple community networks, connected using high quality Motorola Links, fed by a highspeed wireless fibre service. Phase 1 customer installations are almost all complete covering Llanfynydd, Capel Isaac, Cilycwm, Golden Grove, Milo, and Carmel. Phase 2 installations have begun in Llandduesant, Llangadog, Llanwrda on the Eastern Link and the Western link wil begin customer installations shortly.
